[Update: Since early 2020 when the pandemic began, and the subsequent production, parts supplier, fuel increases, and logistical challenges in transportation that happened, costs have continued to rise, making it challenging for all dealers in final pricing. Freight costs and Fuel Surcharges continue to change, so we recommend direct contact with our internet sales or on-location sales staff to get the current exact cost information. We NEVER charge more than what the factory charges us to our customers. No inflated fees here! You can view the current factory costs via each manufacturer's website under model details. The great news is as of Summer 2023 most of the brands we represent are “starting” to catch up. They tell us that by the end of 2023, they should be 90% caught up, and these added freight surcharges will be removed. Just remember though, that it will still take the dealers about another 90-120 days to sell through those units that we were surcharged on, so even though their website may no longer show it, does not mean a particular unit did not have it charged to the pre-end date. Current NC Law regarding personal watercraft (Jet Skis) states:
Boater Education Certificate must be on board watercraft for any operator. All operators are required to have a Boater Education Certificate at all times.
Those on personal watercraft (PWC – Jet Skis) must wear an approved personal flotation device (life jacket) at all times.
This vehicle is only for operators of 14 years of age or older. Persons 14 years of age or older may also operate without a boating education certificate if physically accompanied on the PWC by an adult at least 18 years of age and meets the requirements of G.S. 16.2
In North Carolina, any person born on or after January 1, 1988, must complete a NASBLA-approved boating education course before operating any vessel propelled by a motor of 10 HP or greater on public waterways. G.S. 75A-16.2
The safety kill switch lanyard must be attached to the operator.
